"Human Rights are every human being's entitlement by virtue of his humanity." - Mother Teresa
10th December is an opportunity to reaffirm the importance of human rights in re-building the world we want, the need for global solidarity, and our interconnectedness and shared humanity. This was no better understood by the leaders of tomorrow as they presented a Nukkad Natak on the rights of the children and expressed empathy towards them, taking a stand for care and love and right to education for them. The Presidians who have a strong belief in taking a stand for the right cause could portray their feelings through this Natak and spoke about it through speeches and slogans. They also made posters to commemorate the day. The observance of International Human Rights Day made our upcoming generation aware of the rights that a human being is inherently entitled to.
