PRESIDIANS ENHANCE THEIR GROSS MOTOR SKILL WITH A MAZE ACTIVITY
Creativity is thinking new things. Innovation is doing new things. Keeping this in mind our facilitators designed a creative and innovative activity for the students of Nursery, the Maze activity. Maze is an excellent vehicle to encourage pre -writing skills and gross motor development. It also enhances planning, eye-hand coordination, fine motor skills and drawing skills. Our Presidians exhibited their skills by helping Riya and her grandmother reach their home while walking on the path when it started raining. A huge maze was created on the floor which suffice our methodology of experiential learning wherein the students walked through the passage and solved the maze. Later a worksheet related to the activity was done by the students in their curriculum book.

A FUN FILLED WELCOME TO OUR YOUNG LEADERS OF TOMORRO
"School bells are ringing loud and clear; vacation is over, school is here” - Winifred C. Marshall
The first day of school is that time of the year when the hearts are filled with the amalgamation of happiness, cheerfulness, anxiousness and excitement. Following the Indian rituals our little Presidians were given a warm welcome by putting a tika on their forehead, as they walked in. The day started off with positivity, energy and enthusiasm. The physical zone was created at the arrival gate leading towards the atrium, wherein the students have to cross the hurdles, jump through the hooplas and balancing on the beam. The teachers were seen making students comfortable and cozy in their classrooms. Everyone was feeling excited and felt glad to meet their old friends, new teachers and a new schedule. The school atrium was divided into four zones, Prop corner, Selfie corner, Maze corner and Tic Tac Toe corner. Moving on the footsteps the students have to choose the corner of their choice and enjoy that activity. Later the students giggled around as the Magician showed some funny and hilarious tricks. The children danced together on the beats reminding all that school is fun. As the school bells start ringing let us look forward for a bright year ahead and make it productive and inspiring for our children.

YOUNG ACTORS ENTHRALL EVERYONE IN ROLE PLAY COMPETITION!
“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.” Albert Einstein
Role play helps children develop their cognitive abilities as it involves thinking, learning, communication and presenting oneself through using their vision. It also stimulates child's creativity as they take on a role for a new character and interact with different props thus enhancing their confidence. Keeping this in mind, Presidium Dwarka Sector 6 organized a Role Play Competition for the young leaders of tomorrow providing them with an opportunity to learn more about their role models and superheroes. The competition gave them an opportunity to act out that character as per their comprehension in a realm of possibility. Enthusiastic participants dressed up beautifully as famous historical characters, political leaders, Fairies and superheroes, mesmerizing everyone with their impressive enactments.

PRESIDIANS LEARN THE TECHNIQUES OF MEASUREMENT WITH FUN ACTIVITY
What is to be taught should have a direct relationship with the actual happening in life." - Johan Dewey.
Mathematics is the science of measurement, quantity and magnitude. It dispenses with the quantitative aspects of our life and knowledge. With this belief, we at Presidium organized an activity linked to the concept of Measurement, with an aim to apprise our students about the various measurement techniques and tools using non- standard units (such as hand-span, pencil, book, notebook and other things available from the immediate environment). Pupils were exposed to different objects and measuring tools, to figure out the length, weight, capacity and time. The activity was indeed an enriching experience for the young scholars as they gained knowledge through a number of constructive and interesting hands-on experiences.
