SALUTING THE ENGINEERS FOR THEIR BRILLIANT IDEAS & INNOVATION
‘Engineers are the people who discover the world by their pen and brain.’
Engineers Day is celebrated every year as a remarkable tribute to the greatest Indian Engineer Bharat Ratna Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya (popularly known as Sir MV). He is considered one of the finest engineers of the country. The Prep and Grade I Presidians discovered the wide scope and extent of what an engineer can do, right from building houses to rockets, toys to ships. They also enjoyed discovering some of the tools used by them. The Presidium philosophy of learning by doing and experiential learning held good when they tried their hand at some of the gadgets in and around their house. They projected their understanding through speeches about the contribution of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya and discussions and pictures of tools and equipment around them. The theme for World Engineers Day 2021 is Engineering for A Healthy Planet- where they were made aware about best utilization of resources and saving energy.

STUDENTS LEARN ABOUT ANIMAL ADAPTATION IN DEPTH
Every habitat on our planet is home to various animals and plants that are uniquely adapted to live there. An engaging investigation on Animal Adaptation by fourth Grade thinkers in Presidium was organized. Students learned all about how animals adapt to their environment, with fascinating facts, pictures, videos, fun activities, etc. In this activity, all the scholars were assigned an animal that had a series of adaptations. For that, they created an attractive poster that showed these unique features of the animals. This engagement helped our animal researchers connect with the idea of animal adaptation, along with facilitating creative thinking and extensive research and reading. It provided learners with an opportunity to learn by doing, in turn strengthening the learning.
