LITTLE PRESIDIANS LEARN ABOUT LETTERS WITH A FUN GAME
Play is our brain's favourite way of learning. And we, at Presidium, want our young Presidians to be creative and innovative through a fun learning approach. Students of grade Nursery were recently engaged in an ingenious game called ‘LETTER RIVER’. The class was divided into two groups: callers and steppers. The callers called out the letters and steppers had to identify the letter and its sound and step on the target letter to cross the river. They all were so excited that the teammates helped each other to cross the river. Learning by doing is the Mantra strongly followed by Presidium so once again we set a mark to make learning happen in a playful and happy manner.
PRESIDIANS LEARN THE VITALITY OF WATER IN LIFE!
Water is the most vital element for the sustenance of life on earth. Under the TBL theme ‘WATER’ the prep students were sensitized towards the topic. The activity holds the interest and curiosity of our Presidians to learn various uses of water, storage options available, etc through playful learning. Activities, like pouring water from one container to another and holding the containers, etc., were conducted to enhance the eye-hand coordination in students. The students were given chance to share the sources, uses and storage containers from their experiences from their day to day life. These engagements help in their holistic development and make them closer to nature.

GRADE 3 LEARNS ABOUT THE PHASES OF ‘MOON’
The moon itself doesn't emit any light like the sun. What we envision when we see the moon is sunlight reflected off the moon. The phases of the moon explain how much of the moon appears to us on Earth to be lit up by the sun. This can be a difficult concept for this age, however; at Presidium it became easier and an intriguing learning experience for our young explorers of Grade 3, with some fun filled activities. Students were told to observe the moon on a daily basis for a month prior to this activity. An experiential learning process was followed wherein few models were made by our Presidians to explain the entire process. Afterwards, students made and demonstrated by pasting shapes of several stages of moon on black construction paper provided to them and named them from no moon to crescent, first quarter, Gibbous and full moon waxing and waning. It had been a fabulous experience to explore and learn all about the moon cycle.
