GRADE 3 LEARNS ABOUT THE PHASES OF ‘MOON’
The moon itself doesn't emit any light like the sun. What we envision when we see the moon is sunlight reflected off the moon. The phases of the moon explain how much of the moon appears to us on Earth to be lit up by the sun. This can be a difficult concept for this age, however; at Presidium it became easier and an intriguing learning experience for our young explorers of Grade 3, with some fun filled activities. Students were told to observe the moon on a daily basis for a month prior to this activity. An experiential learning process was followed wherein few models were made by our Presidians to explain the entire process. Afterwards, students made and demonstrated by pasting shapes of several stages of moon on black construction paper provided to them and named them from no moon to crescent, first quarter, Gibbous and full moon waxing and waning. It had been a fabulous experience to explore and learn all about the moon cycle.
APPRECIATION DAY BOOSTS STUDENTS’ MORALE IN THE BEST WAY

An Appreciation Day was hosted wherein appreciation certificates were awarded to each and every student to boost up their moral and raise them towards success.

The other group displayed a creative blend around the theme and engaged themselves in activities like making sun mask, hand fan and lemonade. The third group identified and classified the clothes and food eaten during the season. The students got a chance to depict the theme and gain confidence while working in team activities.
THEME ‘WATER’ CULMINATED WITH AN INTERESTING ACTIVITY & A PLEDGE
As we know that the water is one of the most sacred substances on the earth. The students of Grade 2 recently culminated the theme ‘water’ in the subject TBL. Where in, our young students got the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding about the concepts related to water like sources of water, uses of water, effects of dirty water on health, consequences of wasting water and so on. Through this culmination they all took a pledge to save water as there is a very fine line between using and wasting water. They were sensitized towards the relevance of using clean or filtered water through a skit. A poster making activity was taken up where students expressed creatively how they can contribute to conserve water.

STUDENTS OF PRESIDIUM DWARKA 6 VISIT THE VICE PRESIDENT OF INDIA SHRI VENKAIAH NAIDU
Rakshabandhan signifies the bond of love and care shared by brothers and sisters. Our young Presidians got an opportunity to meet Vice President Venkiah Naidu on this auspicious occasion of Rakshabandhan at his residence. Meeting such a leader is an experience in its own stream. The simplicity of the leader lies in his humble attitude and how he addressed our aspiring students stating the importance of the festival of trust among brothers and sisters.
CHERISHING INDIAN TRADITIONS THROUGH AN ASSEMBLY ON RAKSHABANDHAN
A brother and sister relationship is like Tom and Jerry. They tease and irritate each other, knock each other down, but can't live without each other. To celebrate this sweet and sour bond of teasing, fighting, loving and caring for each other, Presidium Dwarka 6, celebrated the festival of Rakshabandhan with full fervor and gaiety. The day started with welcoming our cute Presidians wearing bright ethnic clothes. Another attraction for the day was a special assembly on Rakshabandhan. Our students performed a dance on the adorable track, ‘phoolon ka taaron ka sabka kehna hai’ and a small skit on the relationship of a brother and sister. We always focus on inclination of our Presidians to our roots, morals, values, traditions and culture that's why such festivals are celebrated with full zeal and zest.
